About the role

As a Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for keeping the kitchen areas clean, washing up and assisting the chefs when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • To follow and maintain all procedures (HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH and Food Safety Management) to the required standards to which training has been received.
  • To undertake all duties as requested by Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and its equipment.
  • Operation of dishwasher / glasswasher machines; hand washing of cooking equipment.
  • Ensuring that at the end of each shift everything is cleaned and the floor is swept and mopped.
  • Assisting as required in basic food preparation under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duty as requested by management.
