We are delighted to be making an appointment for the position of Teacher of Computer Science for our high achieving, outstanding 11-18 academy in North Yorkshire. Outwood Academy Easingwold has the highest performing Post 16 centre in North Yorkshire and GCSE results are the highest for non-selective schools, an achievement we are incredibly proud of.

Outwood Academy Easingwold Computing department offers GCSE Computer Science following the OCR specification. A small department that was awarded the NCCE Computing Framework Quality mark in 2023, the department still has capacity for growth. We are proud of our key stage 3 offerings and currently run enrichment activities such as code club and Cyber Explorers. Code club is also used by GCSE students to stretch their knowledge of programming in preparation for their exams. We also have a close working relationship with the NCCE who offer CPD opportunities and support for growing this amazing subject.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to join our Family of Schools and work with us as part of a team that has transformed the school to one that offers outstanding provision and is the school of choice in its community. You should possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference and have a firm love of your subject and a desire to support our young people to reach their full potential. Ideally you will have experience in Computer Science and GCSE/Computer Science knowledge; an ability to teach Maths is advantageous but not essential.
