Job summary

Anexciting opportunity has arisen for a Dietician to join the community nutritionand dietetics team predominantly based at the East Oxford Health Centre.

Main duties of the job

To provide a dietetic service and give nutritional advice to adult and paediatric patients, with arange of conditions, in the primary care setting. This includes the assessment and treatment ofpatients and working as an integral member of the MDT to provide a flexible, prioritised servicebased on clinical need.

Anexciting opportunity has arisen for a Dietician to join the community nutritionand dietetics team predominantly based at the East Oxford Health Centre.

This is anexceptional opportunity to gain and utilise broad clinical experience withinour service which supports adults and children across Oxfordshire. You will bean integral member of the team sharing the caseload for home enterally fedpatients both in the clinic setting and conducting home visits for patients intheir own homes and nursing homes. This includes transition patients frompaediatric to adults.

OxfordHealth NHS Foundation Trust provides physical, mental health and social careacross Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North EastSomerset. Their services are delivered across the community in hospitals,clinics, community bases and in patients homes, as they focus on deliveringcare as close to home as possible.

Thepost holder will be responsible for assisting in the development and deliveryof the community dietetics services to adult and paediatric patients in thecommunity. This includes working within the existing dietetic team, supportingjunior staff and linking with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a holisticapproach to patient care. You will be responsible for designing individualclient-centred treatment plans, involving nutritional assessment andcalculation of nutritional requirements based on the interpretation of biochemistry,anthropometry, clinical condition, and diet history.

Tobe successful in applying for this role you will need:

Currentrelevant professional registration Minimum2 years post-qualification experience EnhancedDBS UK/NHSexperience Experienceof supervising staff
