Role: Hospital Director

Location: Birmingham, Oldbury

Salary: £55.868 per year

Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 per week

Are you an experienced health or social care manager looking for a new role within an established learning disabilities rehabilitation hospital?

Working 37.5 hours per week, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the operational and clinical management of the hospital and the general well-being of the patients and staff.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the ideal candidate will be expected to lead and manage the service and multi-disciplinary team. Your main duties will be to ensure that excellent care is provided and to ensure a high standard of operational performance, while developing opportunities. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated and strives to achieve outstanding quality by leading key clinical professionals whilst acting with integrity and accountability.

The Hospital Director will be expected to achieve a high level of staff morale and be fundamental in developing the service.

The post holder will be responsible for implementing and evaluating agreed systems of clinical supervision and support aimed at the continual professional development of the nursing team, including education and training initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A good track record in a management role within the healthcare sector and understanding of mental health needs.
  • An emphasis on performance and delivery in order to support successful service delivery and development, budget control, business development and revenue generation.
  • A passion for improving clinical quality and individual care.
  • An inclusive and supportive management style balanced with strong leadership, is a critical factor in the success of this role.

Due to the nature of the position, successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement of employment. The disclosure expense will be met by Caretech.
