The position of Warehouse Operative involves:
Using a Counterbalance to load and unload palletised goods from circa 16 – 18 vehicles. Using the warehouse system & scanner to receive, locate goods into the racking, pick & dispatch whilst handling all goods with care and attention. Replenishing and consolidation of stock when required. General housekeeping and upkeep of the warehousing area and equipment. Completing any relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects.Essential skills required for Warehouse Operative:
A current Counterbalance forklift licence is preferred, although full inhouse training can be provided. Previous experience of working within the pallet network industry. Good communication and team working skills. Attention to detail is essential. Ability to work within a fast-paced environment. Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.Why Gregory Distribution?
Starting salary for Warehouse Operative is £26,pa, based on working 45 hours per week. Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 12:00hrs – 21:00hrs. Overtime available.
