National Glass Centre presents an artistic programme featuring temporary and permanent exhibitions, a collection of international Studio Glass and learning and engagement events and activities. The building also houses Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art (NGCA) and the University of Sunderland's Glass & Ceramics department. We promote the highest standard of visual art, and we engage wide ranging audience groups in creative activity including glass blowing demonstrations and experiences, courses for adults, school visits and family workshops.

About the role

We are looking for a Facilities Technical Support Officer to join the team for a 6-month fixed term contract/secondment. This role will ensure provision of a high quality, safe, healthy and well-maintained environment for all NGC building users. This includes responsibility for delivering a range of technical, operational and maintenance duties in a timely and efficient manner and working with colleagues across Facilities to ensure compliance with all associated regulations. The successful candidate will be pro-active, process driven and always striving for continuous improvement.

You will be joining an exciting, challenging and rewarding place to work and the role will report to the Director of National Glass Centre.
