We are looking to engage aManagement Accountant / Finance Manager who is immediatelyavailable on a parttime basis (initially 2 days perweek).

Lipa Care Limited is a careathomeorganisation based in Whitchurch(Shropshire) and Nantwich (Cheshire)with ambitious plans to grow the business over the next fiveyears.
We identify ourselves as aDomiciliary Care M&A startup.Our two branches were acquired in 2023 and we now have a combinedworkforce of around 70employees.

Tasks

TheManagement Accountant will initially oversee the finance functionfor the two current operations and for the right applicant theremay be an opportunity for this to become a fulltime role as thegroup expands.

Responsibilitieswill include:

  • Leadingand supporting the finance function at each site and if so requiredassisting in the day to day accounting entries for the cashbookpetty cash sales ledger purchase ledger andpayroll;
  • Reviewing and improving the daytodayaccounting processes;
  • Maintain an adequateFixed Asset Register to include a record of all additions disposalsand depreciation ensuring that the register is reconciled at leastmonthly to the relevant nominal ledger accounts within the trialbalance;
  • Reconciling monthly all balance sheetcomponents calculating prepayments & accruals and postingthe monthly journals to produce the trialbalance;
  • Producing and improving the monthlymanagement accounting pack;
  • Overseeing thetimely delivery of weekly financial KPI information asrequired;
  • Undertaking adhoc analysis andreporting as required;
  • Provide support for theannual audit process;
  • Provide information andanalysis for any business planning budgeting and forecastingprocess.
Requirements

Skillsand Experience

The ideal candidatefor this role will be a qualified accountant (preferably CIMA ACAor ACCA) although partqualified applicants will also be considered.You should be able to demonstrate at least 2 years prior experiencein a similar role and be proficient in working with both MicrosoftExcel and Xero. Applicants with prior experience within a careorganisation will beprioritised.
