The Lead Engineer, Development is responsible for development related problems of complex scope, extensively using standard concepts and principles. S/he has several years of experience and expert level knowledge in product development. S/he works as a fully contributing team member, under broad guidance with independent planning and execution responsibilities. S/he possesses the ability to respond to detailed queries and suggest improvement in process. One of the core responsibilities is to coach, guide and mentor junior members in the team to help them scale up.

Who

A successful Lead Engineer, Development will have:

· Minimum 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree.

· Typical range of experience is 6-9 years.

· Expert knowledge of SDLC, Operating systems, Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Programming Systems and Databases.

· Advanced knowledge of working on n-tier desktop or client side web application using multiple Web and UI framework. Expert knowledge of web server technologies.

· Good understanding of non-functional requirements like Scalability, Performance, and Security etc.

What

· Mentor’s all members in the team for technical problems.

· Gains technical breadth in all areas of technologies required for the Product team.

· Focuses more towards building the design/architecture for complete solutions not just individual functional area.

· Shares knowledge and collaborates within and outside the team using Knowledge sharing sessions. SME in at least one of areas of the product.

· Understands High level design and is able to work on non-functional requirements etc.

· Responsible for breaking down a complex problem and creating individual tasks.

· Owns stakeholder management and status reporting, with an emphasis on high level design but proficient in coding and code reviews as well.

· Works closely with the QA and Support teams to ensure all function defects are found and fixed within the development phase.

· Contributes significantly to reduction of defect leakage including Automation ROI.

· Has advanced knowledge of core modules of secondary product.
