Main duties include receipt, storage, and issues of pharmaceutical products, including the maintenance of records. To use the current Inventory management systems including Pharmacy automation to provide the Pharmacy distribution service.

Experience in working in pharmacy would be desirable but is not essential, but applicants must be keen to learn, hardworking and able to work under pressure and do manual handling of goods.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services in addition to completing the in-house training programme for Support Workers.

Main duties of the job

To undertake Level 2 intermediate level apprenticeship in Health (Pharmacy Services) at LPE&T and Level 2 NVQ certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills (QCF) within the Pharmacy department.

To assist with the receipt, storage, and issues of pharmaceutical products, including the maintenance of records.

To use the current Inventory management systems including Pharmacy automation to provide the Pharmacy distribution service.

To monitor expiry dates of stock held in the Pharmacy as per timetable. To make up emergency kits.
