Creative Artworker

The Creative Artworker role is part of the ITG Agency team reporting directly into the Head of Studio, providing design adaptation, artwork, pre-press production services and consultancy. As our new Creative Artworker, you will be responsible for design adaptation and artwork production for a range of assets from master design files.
You’ll ensure adaptation and production of artwork is completed to the highest standards of design principles, brand consistency, technical and content accuracy, and efficiency. You will also support the Production Team in the validation of design files, as well as raising queries and issues where required. The general studio team is responsible for delivery of all graphic content activity to ITG’s customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Artwork Production
- Provide production for projects including design adaptation, layout, artwork creation and minor colour retouching where required
- Ensuring production is to the highest standards and adheres to guidelines
- Ensuring range of work is consistent for both design and technical specifications
- Ensuring artwork created from design files and brand guidelines supplied is produced to the standards set out, with any discrepancies, issues or typographical concerns escalated to the production team/Head of Studio
Pre-production
- Attend pre-production meetings to assess new designs/projects
- Be fully conversant with customer supplied creative artwork and how to implement design adaptation solutions that adhere to customer guidelines
- Interrogate briefs and provide input on proposed project execution methodology and estimates of production time
- Review project designs and brief components, confirm acceptance of briefs and escalate any issues
Systems & Process
- Ensuring effective adherence to Studio systems and processes at all times
- Providing input to the Studio systems and processes to deliver continuous improvement
Quality Management
- Ensuring adherence to internal Quality Control processes and procedures
Colour Management
- Develop artwork in line with the studio colour management processes and procedures to ensure colour consistency of the digital colour specification of all artwork
Capability development
- Continuous personal knowledge development of creative artwork for digital and printed mediums
- Continuous proactive development of software knowledge and competencies
Requirements
- Applied knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite production software
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography and layout
- Ability to understand and interpret design guidelines in artwork execution
- Good understanding of artwork specification requirements for all printed and static digital mediums
- Conversant with use of digital workflow systems
- An exceptional eye for detail and meticulously high-quality standards
- Ability to develop new knowledge and skills proactively
- Good communication skills to liaise with all production process stakeholders
- Knowledge of colour management and proofing an advantage
- 5 years’ experience of creative artwork production
- PowerPoint and Keynote skills beneficial
