The role involves teaching a range of engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 pupils and delivering high-quality instruction to a Year 10 class. You will be responsible for:

  • Classroom Teaching: Delivering inspiring and interactive lessons tailored to the needs of the students.
  • Assessment and Marking: Assessing pupils’ work, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their progress.
  • Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive and focused learning environment to ensure students are motivated and achieving their best.
 

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): This is essential for the position.
  • Subject Knowledge: A strong understanding of the English curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Teaching Experience: Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
  • Commitment: A dedication to providing an engaging and enriching learning experience for all pupils.
  • Organisational Skills: The ability to manage planning, teaching, and marking efficiently.
