We are looking for a video editor andanimator with a background in astronomy/space/astrophysics oranything other that relates to space We run a wellestablishedastronomy Youtube channel with over 1.3M subscribers and arelooking for our next Aplayer to join our editing team. Itsimportant for this role that you have a background in the things Imentioned earlier so please dont apply if you have no priorexperience or background in spacerelatedtopics.

Tasks
  • Visuallybring to life wellwritten scripts and voiceover files creatingbeautifully edited and stunning final videos to be uploaded ontoYoutube all about space andastronomy.
  • Reversioning content for bestperformance across other socialplatforms
  • Creating clips graphics animationsediting compilations optimising videos adding lower thirds andsubtitles and uploading to a schedule
  • Sourceand utilising an archive library and thirdparty footage to createcontent
  • Daytoday liaison with Content Managerand Executive Producer.
  • Asset management andarchiving ofcontent
Requirements
  • Essentialto have good knowledge of and be passionate about space andastronomy content
  • Excellent knowledge of and atleast 12 years of experience creating content for Youtube Facebookand other social media platforms is secondary and deep insight thebest use of video and audio editingtechniques
  • Excellent knowledge of AdobePremiere Pro Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects (AnimationsSubtitling Lower thirds and transitions are a part of everyedit).
  • Strong knowledge of different videoformats video compression sound/video synchronisation downloadingfrom an archive system
  • Strong knowledge of /passion for factual content is a bonus
  • GreatEnglish communication skills the role requires constantcommunication with crossfunctionalpartners.
  • Impeccable spelling and grammar andgrasp of the English language.
  • Great attentionto detail.
  • Fast internet connection (150mbpspreferable)
