The Role:

As Editorial Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation, curation, and management of high-quality social media campaigns across various platforms. You will work closely with our Earned Creative Director to develop engaging and impactful content strategies that align with our clients' goals and objectives. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can stay ahead of industry trends, identify opportunities for growth, and drive results through compelling storytelling, brand narratives, and art direction.

 

We’re looking for someone whose work will have challenged the status quo and pushed boundaries, showing your ability to combine creativity, strategic thinking and effectiveness. You will know the power of a story and be able to look at how it should unpack across different platforms and what content needs to be produced to tell that story in the right formats to engage audiences.

  • Content Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies for clients across various industries, considering their target audience, brand identity, and marketing objectives. You will be able to input into strategic proposition and creative platforms to bring them to life across all social platforms and formats
  • Content Creation and Curation: Oversee the creation and curation of engaging content, including articles, videos, graphics, and other multimedia formats, for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.
  • Art Direction: Provide guidance and direction on the visual aesthetic and creative elements of content, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and visual storytelling principles.
  • Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain content calendars to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content across all social media channels.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including account management, creative, and social media management, to align content strategies with overall client objectives and campaigns. You will be able to nurture and inspire the existing - incredibly talented - social content team and evolve the existing content studio to the next level of production capabilities and quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all content meets quality standards, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements, while also optimising for engagement and performance metrics. Guardianship of clients’ tone of voice and the quality of content output
  • Industry Research: Stay informed about industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to continuously innovate and improve content strategies.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working within Social/PR agencies  
  • Knowledge sharing within the department
  • Apply cross-portfolio learnings to improve all their brand content
  • A strong eye for design
  • In depth understanding of how to use analytics & data to inform content creation
  • In depth knowledge of platforms and platform updates
  • Flawless editing & proofing skills
  • Experienced at storyboarding & building narrative structure for longer-form edits
  • Experience in nurturing and managing a team
  • Confident attending and presenting in client-facing meetings
  • In depth knowledge of how to orchestrate the relationships between owned, earned and paid media
  • Demonstrable experience of measuring the impact of work post-publication
