Organization Gas Services Business Unit Distributed Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAYThe Team Leader of the Supplier Support Team’s (SST) role involves day to day organisation and task setting and support for:- Provide supplier technical support through the component qualification process.- Providing technical support for general enquiries from Suppliers, Supplier Quality, Procurement and Manufacturing, making engineering judgements regarding components or assemblies that deviate from specification.- Helping Supplier Quality investigate supplier non-conformances and introduction of containments and solutions.- Capacity planning, technical guidance, and prioritisation of the SST workload.HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT- Your technical guidance within the component pre-qualification process will help Supplier Quality to ensure that a stable and high-quality production process is established.- Your relationship with suppliers will ensure that technical issues are addressed.- You will directly impact the effect of non-conforming parts on production.- You will directly assist in the development and growth of team members and the department.WHAT YOU BRINGThe successful candidate will approximately fit the following criteria:A Mechanical Engineer educated to degree level.Good understanding of how a core gas turbine works.Understanding of materials and coatings used within gas turbines is desirable.Good understanding engineering drawings and technical specifications.Project management, leadership and managing multi-functional teams experience is desirable.Good communications skills and problem-solving skills, including presentations to large groups, and interactions with all levels of business and customers.Autonomous in daily working, whilst engaging as part of a team and willing to offer support to others.Competent MS Office userWho is Siemens Energy?At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
