Our trust wide 9 month specialist Neurosciences rotation which includes stroke, neurology/neurosurgery, neuro-trauma, inpatient neuro-rehabilitation and community neuro rehabilitation currently has a vacancy for a permanent position plus fixed term opportunities for dynamic and motivated band 6 physiotherapists.
Our physiotherapists are an integral part of the multi-disciplinary teams across specialist medicine and neurosciences. As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to provide high quality physiotherapy to patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme whilst growing your specialist experience and leadership skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Each specialty has support of both band 7 & 8 Clinical therapists to support your clinical and professional development in addition to your peer group with regular peer support meetings and buddy system to support your transition into the trust. We actively support CPD through an established performance development review (PDR) system, in-service training and external courses.
Main duties of the job
To provide high quality physiotherapy management to patients at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. To participate in a cross site rotational scheme, providing a high standard of physiotherapy to patients within acute rehabilitation. To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
The job holder is required to work at weekends as part of their contracted hours of work, (specific rota details are held locally within departments).
The job holder is required to participate in the overnight on call rota and will do so once they have completed the relevant induction and achieved the required competencies, (specific rota details are held locally within departments).

Education/ Qualifications
Essential
Degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy State registration with the Health Professions Council. Able to demonstrate specialist learning from previous physiotherapy rotations, formal post-graduate level learning and informal CPD (both general and specific to clinical fields of speciality).
Desirable
Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Membership of CSP special interest groups relevant to speciality
Experience
Essential
Recent substantial and sustained experience in relevant physiotherapy specialities and clinical settings Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team
Desirable
Experience of on-call and weekend working in an acute hospital Previous senior physiotherapist experience in relevant post Previous experience in the NHS as a qualified physiotherapist
