The Position

A Commercial Product Manager for a SaaS offering in a B2B industrial data analytics platform is responsible for overseeing the development, launch, and success of commercial products within the platform. They bridge the gap between technical development and market needs, ensuring that the product meets customer requirements while aligning with the company’s business goals. In addition to overseeing the development, launch, and success of commercial products within the platform, the commercial product manager for a SaaS offering in a B2B industrial data analytics platform also manages a software development team. This involves guiding the team through the product development lifecycle, setting clear goals and priorities, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. The Product Manager acts as a leader, mentor, and facilitator, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. They also coordinate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and customer success, to align development efforts with customer needs and market opportunities.  Key Accountabilities

Create and maintain a product roadmap prioritizing features based on customer feedback and market trends.  Lead and manage the software development team, ensuring successful execution of the product roadmap.  Collaborate with the design team from ideation to wireframe/mock-up creation.  Organize, create, and manage agile backlog: Prioritize tickets, organize backlog, and define success metrics according to prioritised roadmap.  Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on product development plans.  Engage with customers, industry bodies and technology providers to gather feedback and validate new and emerging product enhancements. Monitor key performance indicators to assess the success of the SaaS offering.  Conduct regular competitive analysis to understand market dynamics.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across the organization.  Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.  Knowledge Deep understanding of SaaS business models and subscription-based revenue streams.  Proficiency in industrial data analytics concepts, tools, and technologies.  Familiarity with B2B sales dynamics and customer relationship management.  Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.  Understanding of product management frameworks and best practices.  Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.  Awareness of global sustainability initiatives and their impact on the energy sector.  Skills   Strategic planning: Develop and implement long-term product strategies that align with business objectives and evolving industry standards.  Team leadership: Inspire and guide cross-functional teams to successfully achieve product development objectives.  Effective communication: Clearly convey ideas, gather feedback, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and drive product success.  Analytical prowess: Utilize data analysis and market insights to inform decision-making and enhance product offerings.  Customer-centric approach: Empathize with customer needs and preferences to develop valuable product features that meet user requirements.  Enhance usability: Improve user experience and mobile functionality by implementing intuitive navigation and aligning design patterns across the product suite.  Experience   Previous experience in product management roles (at least 1-2 years), preferably within the SaaS industry.  Demonstrated success in leading and delivering software development projects from conception to launch.  Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market penetration for commercial products.  Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.  Familiarity with industrial data analytics or related fields is a plus.  Qualifications   Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.  Previous experience in product management roles, preferably in the B2B SaaS industry with a focus on industrial applications.  Strong understanding of industrial data analytics and related technologies, with practical exposure preferred.  Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading software development projects.  Proven ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to drive product innovation.  Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.  Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  Desirable qualifications include advanced degrees, certifications in product management, and experience in B2B sales or customer relationship management.
