Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our Outpatient department at North Devon District Hospital. The successful candidates will help coordinate the team and provide safe, high-quality care and support to our patients.

We are looking for candidates who are dedicated, team players with a real commitment to providing quality patient care whilst helping to drive improvement and innovation.

Practising in the outpatient setting offers a broad and structured environment with training and development opportunities. The service supports activity from all care groups with a variety of specialist clinics and outpatient treatments/procedures including theatre scrub.

Our outpatient service covers both North Devon District Hospital and all of our local community sites so reasonable travel will be expected as part of the role (mileage is paid).

Working Pattern: hours per week. 4 x shifts Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:45 with the option of regular evening and/or weekend shifts paid as extra.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
