PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

In conjunction with the Commercial Manager of e-commerce, to grow and manage our customer base for paving for the e-commerce brand of Genesis Commercial Solutions. Working with internal support personnel to ensure that the distribution function is effectively and efficiently operated and maximised. 


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties are many and varied, but the list below is considered to be the basic requirement:

  • Ensure regular communication to landscapers and tradespeople to maximise business opportunities, margin and grow relationships.
  • Prepare and submit sales figures for discussion with the Commercial Manager to meet company requirements
  • Train sales co-ordinators and sales representatives in conjunction with the Commercial Manager.
  • Promote the interests of the company at both sales and purchasing levels to help maximise our purchasing ability.
  • Grow and maintain the customer order book.
  • Assess opportunities for current and new market development and product range development in conjunction with data provided by the ecommerce platform.
  • Liaise with haulage and distribution in order to ensure full satisfaction of the customers daily needs.
  • Liaise with the administration function in order to ensure the smooth running of the business.
  • Motivate internal customer service and sales staff.
  • Carry out any additional duties as may be required from time to time by the Commercial Manager.
  • Be involved in the marketing, social media and ecommerce team meetings with internal staff and consultants.
  • Grow the brand with support from internal staff and consultants.


KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Experience within the construction industry, preferably Merchant or Paving experience.
  • Experience in Sales.
  • Organisation Skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively written and verbally.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to various different types of customer.
