Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised registered Nurse or Midwife to facilitate the safe delivery of the maternity immunisation service and support the Antenatal and Newborn Screening programme within DGT. Part time or a job share options will be considered.

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic Antenatal and Newborn Screening Team delivering a safe and effective vaccination service for pregnant women across multiple sites under the remit of DGT maternity services. The successful candidate will lead on the provision of the maternity immunisation service for the delivery of the influenza and pertussis vaccinations.

In addition the successful candidate will provide phlebotomy support for our women who attend Queen Mary's hospital (QMH) in Sidcup. This will ensure an equitable antenatal screening service for those women who have their 12 week scan at QMH.

The successful candidate will also support the Antenatal and Newborn Screening Team with additional administration needs when required.

Main duties of the job

Person Specification

Education and Training

Essential

NMC Registered Nurse/Midwife Evidence of CPD including vaccine training, admin training and basic life support Car owner and current driving licence.

Desirable

First Aid training Anaphylaxis training.

Manage and prioritise own workload Good communication skills both written and verbal Ability to work as part of a team and actively participate in team meetings Able to maintain and record accurate documentation.
