Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Primary Care Network (PCN) Operational Manager to join ourestablished team and be a part of a PCN that really makes a difference.
Supporting the PCN Clinical Director, PCN Deputy Manager, PCN Strategic Manager, Practice Managers and the wider practice teams, you will oversee the management of the PCN team,manage the operational performance of PCN requirements and support PCNprojects.
Main duties of the job
The following are the coreresponsibilities of the PCN Operational Manager.
Recruitment, retention and linemanagement of all ARRS staff.
Development of training includingspecific and mandatory training for the ARRS team.
Provide HR support to the PCN staffincluding appraisals and any personal development plans.
Operational Management of the PCN includingensuring the DES, IIF and CAIP are met.
Undertake a lead role for the PCN GDPR compliance.
Provide monthly PCN performance data for arange of PCN activities.
Be the first port of call for all practicesfor PCN matters.
Attend operational meetings on behalf of thePCN.

The following are the coreresponsibilities of the PCN Operational Manager.
There may be on occasion, arequirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors suchas workload and staffing levels.
The PCNOperational Manager is primarily responsible for:

Provide HR support to the PCN staffincluding appraisals and any personal development plans.
Operational Management of the PCN includingensuring the DES, IIF and CAIP are met.

In addition tothe primary responsibilities, the PCN manager may be requested to:
Work inpartnership with other local health and care organisations within the area onjoint initiatives and service improvement projects
Act as the primary point of contactfor NHS(E), ICB, community services and other external stakeholders
Be involved in appropriate and agreed initiatives
Be involved in appropriate and agreedconstituent practices improvement projects

Confidentiality
The post holder must maintain the confidentiality and security ofinformation about patients, staff and the business of the PCN and bothpartnerships in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and Caldicottprinciples.
Health & safety
The post-holder will support and implement on the full range ofpromotion and management of their own and others health, safety and securityas defined in the practice Health & Safety policy, the practice Health& Safety manual, and the practice Infection Control policy and publishedprocedures.
This will include (but will not be limited to):
Using personal security systems within theworkplace according to Practice / PCN guidelines.
Identifying the risks involved in work activitiesand undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks across thebusiness.
Making effective use of training to updateknowledge and skills and initiate and manage the training of others.
Using appropriate infection control procedures,maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards, andinitiation of remedial / corrective action where needed.
Keeping own work areas generally clean, identifyingissues and hazards / risks in relation to other work areas within the business,and assuming responsibility in the maintenance of general standards ofcleanliness across the business in consultation (where appropriate) with othersite facility managers
Undertaking periodic infection control training(minimum annually).
Demonstrate due regard for safeguarding andpromoting the welfare of children.
