SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support the educational needs of students in Manchester. As an SEND Teaching Assistant, your primary role will be to assist teachers in creating a positive and effective learning environment. You will work with a range of additional and/or associated learning needs, sensory impairment and health needs of primary pupils; providing academic and emotional support, while fostering their personal development.The start date is in September 2024.

 The right applicant will:

  • Have experience of working with children with a range of SLD and complex needs
  • Have a desire to develop their understanding of SEND
  • Have excellent communication skills, and the ability to plan and prioritise effectively
  • Have the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Be committed to the wider school life and willing to engage in a range of extra-curricular activities
  • Must have experience working within the UK school setting
