We are seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support in leading our brand new supported living service in the heart of Fareham town centre, Hampshire. This exciting new development will consist of self-contained, generously sized, flats for nine adults with learning difficulties, requiring 24/7 support. You and your team will be supporting them to live as independently as possible in the community and support them to create their own home. You will have the amazing opportunity to be part of the setup, planning of the service and building a positive and dedicated team over the next few months.

About YOU

Experience in a similar role within social care Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader etc. Experience supporting people who have learning disabilities and/or complex needs Experience of managing budgets and financial information Knowledge of sector relevant legislation regulatory bodies and their standards.  Ability to work with your Service Manager to manage and lead a successful and positive team. Understands the balance between keeping our people safe and positive risk taking. Stay up to date with policies and procedures to carry out and maintain safe and best practices. Support the Service Manager to recruit new employees and develop and manage your staff team in a fair and consistent manner. Work with your Service Manager to reinforce a positive culture of continuous improvement. Act as the Service Manager in their absence. To take part in a management cover, Rota could include day and night shifts. Driver with full UK valid driving license preferable.

In this role you will be; 

Work closely with the Service Manager to inspire and motivate the team to provide a high-quality service as well assist in implementing current legislation and CQC requirements Maintain a practical knowledge of policies and procedures and ensure appropriate usage. Effectively recruit, develop and manage employees in a fair and consistent manner. Work with your Service Manager to reinforce a culture of continuous improvement. You will motivate and inspire your team to provide outstanding support through effective training, coaching and leadership by example Be expected to attend appointments with the people we support, attend care reviews, review and update care plans and risk assessments, record and monitor daily logs, lead shifts and administer medication Day to day support for the people we are supporting. Managing the service and the team within and meeting KPI's.
