Theobjective of the role will be to successfully operate as part of anexiting Building Surveying department offering surveying servicesto a range of customers in the property market. Your day-to-dayresponsibilities will include operating as part of surveyingconsultancy assignments; contributing to housing stock conditionsurveys; building surveys; energy performance reviews; asset optionappraisals; project costing and analysis; assisting with technicalspecifications; helping to deliver facilities management servicesin property management; enhancing Building Information Management[BIM] utilising data and more advanced surveying techniques toprovide greater client insight; decarbonisation services; andproviding an excellent services to both internally and externalstakeholders.

Essential

  • A relevant subjectmatter degree, HNC, or certification(s) in buildingsurveying.
  • A goodattitude and desire tolearn.
  • MS Office 365and Excel.
  • Flexibilityto travel to customersites.

Niceto Have

  • Previous commercialexperience in Building Surveying, with experience of undertakinghousing stock conditionsurveys.
  • Knowledge ofBuilding Regulations, Fire & Building Safety, BuildingElements, Architypes &Pathology.
  • Experienceand understanding of SAP and Energy Performance of domesticdwellings.
  • Experienceof Decent Homesstandards
  • Goodknowledge of stock surveying data and softwareapplications
  • Acommercial awareness of stock option appraisals and survey businessprocesses
  • Experienceof any of the following - Retrofit; PAS 2023 standards; HHSRS;Homes Act 2018; Building Safety; Fire Risk Assessment; S.20notifications; DDA Audits; or GDPRregulations.
  • Arelevant subject matter degree, HNC, orcertification(s).

Asan individual you will be an excellent communicator, adept atliaising at all levels with a variety of stakeholders. You willalso be highly analytical with a keen eye for problem solving andmeticulous record keeping. This role is hybrid based, with timespent based in an office in the West Midlands, home working andtravel to customer sites - and so a driving license is required forthis post and costs will be catered for.
