Job overview

The Cancer and Haematology Ambulatory Care service is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed nurse who has a professional approach, able to contribute to the smooth running of the service, ensure the delivery of safe, high quality nursing care and ensure excellent patient experience. Candidates should have good interpersonal skills with an ability to motivate and lead a team. They should be able to work well under pressure with a flexible approach to work, and a willingness to lead service development.

As the Ambulatory Care Lead Nurse you will act as a role model for the service and across the Directorate with responsibility for the development of your team and involvement in education across all areas. You will have the opportunity to develop your personal, managerial and leadership skills within this role As the Ambulatory Care Lead Nurse you will have the opportunity to contribute to the Directorate strategy, working with the Lead and Deputy Lead SACT Nurses to develop the service and enhance the patient experience.

Main duties of the job Use your expert knowledge and clinical judgement to lead the Ambulatory Care service to deliver high quality care Utilise SACT knowledge and experience to educate staff across the Directorate Work at an advanced level of practice within the specialist area demonstrating autonomous decision making Monitor and maintain standards of care across the SACT service Work across professional, organisational and system boundaries and proactively develop and sustain new partnerships and networks to influence and improve health, outcomes and healthcare delivery systems Effectively manage human, financial, material and information resources Working for our organisation
