Summary

We have an opportunity for a Business Intelligence Developer to join the team on a 20 month fixed term contract, which is project funded. As a Business Intelligence Developer you will collaborate with analysts, data managers and data engineers to support the delivery of Management Information, Business Intelligence, Analytics and Self-Service Solutions throughout the National Trust. Using your expertise in Tableau and Alteryx you will create scalable, intuitive visualisations to support the Trust’s strategy and enable data led decision making.Carbon, climate and conservation data and reporting will be the primary focus for this role. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders from the Land & Nature directorate, ensuring the Trust is extracting maximum value from the Trust’s wealth of nature and environment data.

What it's like to work here

The Business Intelligence Team help provide Management Information and Insight throughout the organisation primarily using our key analytics tools: Tableau and Alteryx. We work closely with stakeholders throughout the organisation to help ensure they have the right tools to enable business critical data-led decision making.Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.

What you'll be doing

Working as a key member of the Business Intelligence Team tasks likely to include engaging with colleagues in the Land & Nature directorate, Climate Action Programme and the wider analytics community. Identifying, defining and capturing Business Intelligence needs with a variety of stakeholders from across the organisation – main focus will be on carbon, climate and conservation reportingYou'll develop Tableau reports / dashboards – from gathering initial requirements to publishing and maintaining the final output on NT Analytics, the Trust’s instance of Tableau ServerAnd will curate bespoke datasets using Alteryx Designer and ServerYou'll ensure all content shared with the organisation is clear and produced to a high standard and Assist with training and upskilling other analysts where necessary
