About the Role:
Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Northumberland. This is a rewarding opportunity for an educator who is passionate about literature, language, and student success. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of English in students and helping them achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Use innovative teaching methods to engage students in reading, writing, and critical thinking
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students
  • A thorough knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment requirements
  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young people in their learning journey

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
