The Role:

As a Senior MRI Diagnostic Radiographer with us, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the 3T MRI service at the centre so that all operational objectives and clinical standards are achieved, and the reputation of GenesisCare for exceptional service and outcomes is maintained at all times. You will also support the Lead Radiographer in the clinical and non-clinical aspects of the MRI process thus supporting all patients receiving 3T MRI. What You'll Do:

Liaise closely with the multi-disciplinary team. Follow all duties as a health and care professions council (HCPC) registrant (standards of conduct, performance and ethics). Follow and adhere to all HCPC standards of proficiency. Create the right environment for all diagnostic and radiotherapy staff to work effectively together as a team.  Ensure that you follow clinical protocols, policies and procedures at all times and operate in full compliance. Ensure maintenance safe and effective working practices, including the operation of equipment and systems in use in the centre. Ensure that all patients experience the highest levels of service, in line with the agreed expectations for scanning within GenesisCare centres. Ensure that the unit maintains accurate and complete records of patient treatments, in line with the agreed processes within GenesisCare. Ensure that GenesisCare clinical audit, radiation protection and quality assurance requirements are met. Ensure that compliments are recorded alongside any incidents or complaints that are also escalated to the Lead MRI Radiographer to ensure properly investigated. Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders including patients and their carers, clinicians and their colleagues. Support the ongoing improvement and continuous development of the care and services provided across GenesisCare and to promote the ongoing success of the company. Contribute to the growth and progress of MRI/cross sectional imaging. Lead by example taking an active clinical role in all areas of the patient pathway. Pro-actively maintain own continuing professional development (CPD) in accordance with GenesisCare and HCPC professional standards. Ensure flexibility in out of hours working in order to ensure that breakdowns or crises are resolved with minimum impact to service and treatments.

What You'll Have:

Experience and skills:

Able to demonstrate at least 2 years post qualification experience with progressive development in that time Experience in all aspects of MRI scanning to a very high level of competence (Neuro, Body, Prostate, MSK, lymphoma, Breast etc) Evidence of empathetic and a holistic approach to patient care Good understanding of complaints process Sound understanding of governance Experience of proactively evolving MRI techniques A wide range of clinical skills Evidence of collaborative working Evidence of effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills Strong relationship building skills Able to make judgments/decisions with the support of the lead Radiographer, ability to solve problems Able to work flexibly to achieve GenesisCare business objectives

Qualifications and Knowledge:

DCR (R) or BSc (Hons) in Radiography (or equivalent) HCPC registration Evidence of continuing professional development A good level of understanding of the legislation relating to Ionising Radiation/Radiation Protection and Health & Safety Knowledge of current trends and developments in radiography equipment and techniques An awareness of UK Health Environment Good understanding and knowledge of medical terminology and drug/medication names/disease pathways encountered in radiography/CT/MRI/mammography
