Hardware Design Engineer

We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to be the main interface between Score Group and their clients.
The Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for the cost estimation and preparation for all Score projects.
Reporting to the Lead engineer the Hardware Design engineer will be the first point of contact for all clients.
Primary responsibilities Participation in study and concept development work Cost estimating and planning of projects Preparation of design, drawings and documentation for customer and Score projects Preparation of requisitions and specifications for procurement of instruments and associated apparatus Participation in system assembly, construction, and commissioning activities Gain & apply experience in hazardous area requirements for petrochemical environments Gain & apply experience of valve condition monitoring methods Qualifications MEng or BEng (Hons) in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation discipline is desirable Experience Designing, building, commissioning or troubleshooting instruments, instrumentation systems or electronics Experience with instrumentation such as pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, strain gauges, position transmitters, acoustic Sensors or vibration sensors Experience with communication protocols such as 4-20 mA, 0-5 V, HART, Wireless HART or ISA100 Experience with Data Acquisition systems Knowledge of hazardous areas (UKEx, ATEX, IECEx) is desirable Behaviours and skills Highly Motivated and commitment to continue to apply skills, learn and further develop within the organisation Good oral and written communication skills A good team worker who is supportive, adaptable, accepts challenge and has a pro-active attitude Keen problem solverIf you like the sound of an attractive salary, contributory pension, an excellent benefits package and the opportunity to work with as part of a global organisation that’s passionate about people development, we’d love to hear from you
