An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Medical Secretary / Admin Lead, within the Learning Disability Team. The post holder will be supporting the Clinical Lead and their Medical team of Consultants / Junior Doctors. The position will predominantly based within the Bryn Y Neuadd office, however, the post holder may also be required to travel to other areas in order to carry out the duties associated with the position. 

The post holder will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive high quality medical secretarial and administrative service to the consultant, doctor and junior medical team and specialist nursing teams, other health professionals.

The post holder will be responsible for the guidance, supervision and direction of the admin team dealing with appropriate day to day issues to oversee the smooth running of the department and providing support to the line manager.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is a senior member of the administrative & clerical team providing an expert administration service to the clinical specialty and its associated work streams. The post holder will support the consultants, junior medical staff and other health professionals with the creation of best practice and processes, supporting diary management, co-ordination of workload and of appointments and admission related information for patients and carers.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
