Westmill Trafford is one of ABF’s flagship sites and is a modern well invested facility, manufacturing and packing Noodles for the UK and European markets. The site operates on 24/7 shift patterns and supplies a range of Branded and Own Label products to a wide range of customers including wholesalers, business to business industrial customers as well as grocery retail. There are 135 full time employees on site providing self-sufficient capability across operations, planning, technical, engineering, finance, logistics and warehousing.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse & Distribution Manager to join our business and lead our Trafford Warehouse team.  Working with a highly professional and dedicated team, the role provides an opportunity to shape and influence the agenda, whilst building new skills & experience. Westmill has a clear strategy and continues to invest in capital, systems, process, product, and people capability to ensure that we are well positioned for growth.

Reporting to the Site General Manager, your primary objective is to deliver a positive health and safety and food safety & quality culture. Delivering a high level of efficiency, hygiene, and stock accuracy whilst managing budgets including labour, maintenance, external storage. The role is demanding, high profile and will be a fantastic platform to grow a significant career with Westmill and ABF. The scope and breadth of the key accountabilities will provide considerable stretch as you will be responsible for the financial performance, leading people and collaboration with the Westmill logistics and customer service teams.

  • An ability to build and develop both individuals and a high performing team.
  • An ability to provide clear direction through a structured and organised approach to managing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and computer literacy skills.
  • Ideally experience in a FMCG warehousing environment utilising a warehouse management system.
