We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Operative to join the team at Sorn Quarry, Mauchline, East Ayrshire. The successful candidate will effectively carry out all duties associated with the efficient operation of the weighbridge. 
Key Responsibilities
Control the entry to site of all customers, lorries and visitorsWeighing in and out of materials and recording all necessary information for invoicingDirecting goods inwards to correct stockpile/locationRecord time of despatch and return of trucks bringing raw materials to siteEnsure the general working of the weighbridge area, including the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and workstations.Following training, undertaking a variety of site inspections (Environmental and/or Health and Safety), reporting defects and issues to the site manager
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be liaising with a range of contacts and customers on the telephone and in person. Confidence to control the entry to site of customers, lorries and visitorsOrganised and analytical in order to successfully operate the weighbridge computer packageGood numeracy skills are required for quick and accurate data processing.Previous experience in this type of role would be a distinct advantage but training will be provided for the right candidate Working with all members of the team to continually raise the Health, Safety and Environmental standards of the Company.
