The shift pattern is Monday-Friday 09.00-17.00.

An exciting opportunity has become available as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (in Psychological Therapies) within the East Renfrewshire CAMHS team. The Clinical Nurse Specialist Role will be an integral member of the dynamic multi-disciplinary.

A Clinical Nurse Specialist is a registered nurse who has acquired additional specialist knowledge and experience. As well as having completed, or demonstrated the ability to complete, a primary degree they will have the skills and competencies required to manage a caseload within agreed boundaries and protocols in line with clinical governance. Entwined around this clinical core are ties of consultancy, teaching, management and research its application.

The post holder will undertake and provide specialist psychological assessment of patients needs, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, which are evidence based. Utilising all available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and cultural background and ensure involvement with the patient, family, carers and significant others.

The post holder should have or evidence of working towards further CPD such as a Post Graduate certificate in Psychological Therapies. The post holder will be expected to provide highly specialist behavioural, cognitive behavioural or other psychological therapies assessment, formulation and treatment to the CAMHS population.

East Renfrewshire HSCP Children's services work closely with Educational services, schools, Heads of Services, senior children's services managers and service teams, to coordinate development, delivery and evaluation of a new multi-disciplinary Children's Mental and Emotional Wellbeing Recovery Response Service, Healthier Minds Team. The post holder will evidence clinical nurse leadership and take responsibility to provide ongoing liaison and support to the Tier 2 Healthier Minds Service/Well-Being Hub within East Renfrewshire HSCP.
