Collins Aerospace is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our Procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their career in supply chain management. The Junior Buyer will work closely alongside the Senior Buyer, gaining hands-on experience and training in purchasing, supplier management, and inventory control. This role will be crucial in supporting the procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

Please kindly note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this vacancy. This role will be mainly site based; 4 days per week on site, 1 day per week remote based.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Assist in Purchase Order Management: Support the Senior Buyer in creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of purchase orders, confirming details with suppliers when necessary.

Complies technical, quality, delivery, and contractual requirements to prepare/issues requests for quote (RFQ).

Assist in maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and developing relationships with new suppliers. Participate in supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms, prices, and delivery schedules.

The individual will work extensively with Engineering and Program teams, Material Program Managers, Commodity Managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Work closely with the Senior Buyer to gain knowledge and understanding of the procurement process, supplier management, and negotiation tactics.

Participate in training sessions and learning opportunities to develop skills relevant to the buying process.

Create and provide cadenced Supply Chain health reports to internal customers.

Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and to deliver resolution to complex supplier issues and drive systemic lessons learned

Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

Excellent communication, problem- solving and negotiating skills.

Knowledge of MRP systems

Ability to complete all tasks independently, as well as in a team environment.

Experience working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Raytheon tools, as well as knowledge of supply chain processes.

Understanding/use of Customer logistics/procurement systems/software and processes

Ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic, fast paced, changing environment

Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliers and ability to perform effectively and independently

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of Engineering Principles or working within a production environment

Supply Chain and Operations experience

Experience with Enterprise Planning Resource (ERP) and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software.

Ability to confidently communicate and develop relationships with Customer(s) and vendors.
