The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. This role involves coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver larger and more complex projects to high-profile clients. The Senior Project manager will be expected to act as a mentor, actively encouraging and coaching colleagues within the team.

HYBRID- TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY IN OUR RUDDINGTON OFFICE- NOTTINGHAM

Responsibilities

- Lead the Project Initiation stage, including initiation meetings, client introductions, resource identification, and scheduling.
- Produce relevant project documentation such as Statements of Work, project plans, and RAID logs.
- Provide and obtain relevant sign-off documentation.
- Track progress to plan, providing regular highlight/status reports.
- Anticipate and monitor risks, acting on required mitigations.
- Monitor scope and enforce change control processes.
- Track milestones and liaise with finance on related payment gates.
- Agree and enact a communication management plan.
- Complete project closure activities.
- Actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of Project Services approach.
- Coach team members towards a best practise approach.
- Demonstrate leadership by supporting and encouraging team members to meet project milestones and objectives.
- Advocate and promote the Project Services team both externally and across the business.
- Support the Project Services Team Lead in their overall management responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

- Experience in a project management role delivering complex software implementations across a variety of products and sectors.
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time, in scope, and within budget.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience in providing leadership in communicating the project aims and success factors to all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Ability to plan and schedule project timelines and milestones, allocating appropriate resources and using appropriate tools, specifically MS Project.
- Proven ability to pre-empt potential risks and undertake appropriate mitigation actions.
- Ability to manage and delegate work and responsibilities within a project team.
- Experience in compiling and managing key project documentation and controls, such as Statements of Work, highlight reports, and project plans.
- Excellent customer relationship management skills to build, develop, and grow business relationships and manage customer expectations.
- Strong meeting management, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Experience in chairing and running key project meetings to varied sizes and seniority of audiences.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
- Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to prioritise tasks from multiple projects in a demanding environment to tight deadlines.
- Excellent computer literacy and strong working knowledge of all MS Office applications.
- Prince 2 qualified to practitioner level.
- Experience in coaching both customer and team members.
