We are looking for an organised and passionate midwife who can lead our quality improvement, audit and guideline agenda. The post holder should have experience of developing and implementing guidelines, involvement in clinical audit, has experience of being involved with or implementing Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives and can demonstrate an excellent understanding of Clinical Governance. The post holder will lead the implementation of Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle V3.

The post holder will receive a full orientation and access to ongoing development on successful appointment.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will inspire confidence and innovation amongst our incredible workforce, who together, ensure the women/birthing people and staff are safe, cared for and listened too. They will work collaboratively with the maternity teams, maternity managers, service managers, governance and education teams to provide seamless pathways of care and ensure a positive safety and team culture

The post holder will take a lead role in supporting maternity services at Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the continual, measurable improvement of services. They will lead the maternity service in the building of capability for Quality Improvement.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the co-ordination of evidence based guidelines (including SOPS, LOCSIPS and patient information leaflets) and will support the clinical audit programme.

The post holder will lead on the implementation of the Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle V3.

Under the direction of the Lead Midwife for Quality, Governance Assurance and Compliance the post holder will support maternity services with the delivery of identified specific objectives or priority areas.
