Vocational Tutor for Secondary SEN School from November 2024

• Pay: £100 - £125 (flexible depending on travel)
• Location: Towcester

The Role: Cover Supervisor's provide cover across Year 7 - Year 11 pupils across various lessons in the school. This is a great opportunity for a Graduate or professional considering a career in Teaching and would like the classroom experience, with the chance to work in a long-term contract for the School.

What is a Cover Supervisor?

✓ Supervising and managing the behaviour of students during lessons.

✓ Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans to maintain continuity in learning.

✓ Providing support to students in their learning activities.

✓ Managing classroom resources and ensuring a safe learning environment.

✓ Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues arising during the day.

Requirements: 

✓ Confident approach working with Secondary SEN Pupils (age 11 - 16 years)

✓ Semi-comfortable with creative subjects such as Art, Design or Food Technology

✓ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

✓ Ability to engage and inspire students.

✓ Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to challenging situations.

✓ Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people with SEN is ESSENTIAL.
