Job Vacancy: Science Teacher – Rochdale (January Start)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role: As a Science Teacher, you will inspire and challenge students to develop their curiosity and understanding of the world around them. You’ll teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach A-Level for the right candidate. You'll be part of a forward-thinking department, working alongside other specialists to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and motivate students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (A-Level teaching may be available depending on experience).
  • Plan, prepare, and assess work that encourages students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical skills.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for development.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and help implement strategies for improving student outcomes.
  • Support the delivery of extra-curricular science activities, clubs, and events that encourage students to explore the subject beyond the classroom.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (NQT/ECTs welcome to apply).
  • A genuine passion for Science and the ability to inspire students to engage with the subject.
  • Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (A-Level experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to make a positive impact within the school community.
