Global Welfare & Compliance Auditor

Animal welfare and sustainability are the cornerstone of Aviagen’s selection process in broilers and turkeys. To support our commitment to welfare we have a fanatic NEW opportunity for a Global Welfare and Compliance Auditor to join our team. This role reports directly to our Global Vice President for Welfare, Sustainability & Compliance.

The Role

You’ll join a dynamic team and will be responsible for establishing, auditing and reporting on global operational standards and procedures with the aim of proactively improving the quality and efficiency of our global operations. You’ll travel internationally which means we are open to global applications.

Key Responsibilities

Planning, logistics and execution of welfare audits Benchmark and provide ongoing training for internal welfare auditors Participate in company-wide forums to address operational issues Gather, summarize and report data and information about welfare improvements Familiarise with welfare, sustainability and audit developments and opportunities globally Develop and maintain an understanding of the welfare laws & requirements required across the globe with the aim of becoming the key resource In cooperation with the Global Vice President Welfare, Sustainability & Compliance, further develop welfare and sustainability improvements across Aviagen Group Represent Aviagen Group both internally and externally on welfare & compliance Undertake other functions as self-determined

The Candidate

Ideally you will be qualified to degree level and either have experience of auditing in an agriculture / food science environment or have equivalent experience within another industry with a demonstrable interest in auditing and compliance. You will be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English both verbal and in written reports. Formal training in auditing would be an advantage.
