Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Automation Test Engineer on a permanent basis. As a key part of an Agile team, the Test Engineer will produce high quality software services to support in building better experiences for our customers and to support esure in becoming a data driven, digital first organisation.

What you will do:

Work within an Agile squad that tests, builds and delivers industry leading software that focuses on the needs of our customers Build high quality test automation and ensure the acceptance criteria for a product continue to be met over many future iterations Responsible for the testing in your specific area and collaborate with product owners to build project backlog items with clear acceptance criteria Analyse changes being made and build test cases that provide appropriate test coverage Work to improve the capability and processes of the Quality Engineering team by suggesting and supporting improvements, sharing knowledge and driving gold standard software testing practices

Qualifications

We’d love you to have:

Significant Test automation experience with Java and Selenium Experience of executing and checking both automated and manual testing and defect management Experience testing distributed, scalable, and highly available systems Experience of testing software in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar BDD experience and ability to write and break down user stories An understanding of the wider Quality role required in order to improve quality across the full project delivery lifecycle and drive continuous improvement Exposure to agile, SCRUM & Dev Ops delivery model Collaboration tools: JIRA/ Confluence.
