We are recruiting foran Accounts Assistant on behalf of aLedbury based Accountancy Practice that offersan Accountancy and Taxation service to a wide range of clientsacross Herefordshire Worcestershire andGloucestershire. On offer is a permanentjob paying between 28000 and 32000 a year(negotiable based on experience) and comes with the addedbonus of secure onsiteparking.

Theywork with a wide range of clients that include subcontractors soletraders retailers builders and tradespeople through to largemanufacturing companies for whom they offer a full accountancy(annual accounts book keeping payroll management accounts budgetingand forecasting product and service costing) and an income andcorporation tax service (VAT personal income tax business incometax and corporationtax).

Theirclients all have their own way of keeping records that ranges fromkeeping everything in a folder bag or box an excel sheet or ofusing accounting software such as Xero Sageetc.

The teamfully support their clients no matter how records are kept andhanded over. As such this role is bestsuited to someone who has either worked within a similar role hashad related experience or would enjoy being part of a team thatoffers this type ofservice.

Aswell as offering the accounting and taxation services you will alsobe reviewing how your clients businesses are running and will needto spot the oddities ask the questions understand the reasons andadvise accordingly. This could be a spendfor something that does not look like a business expenseunderstanding a large financial loss on an invoice or simplypicking up where costs have been coded incorrectly and correctingthose.

Asthe Accounts Assistant you willbe:

Preparingdraft accounts to final review stage for sole traders partnershipsand limitedcompanies.

Liaisingwith clients which will include advising them on accounting systemsandprocesses.

UsingAccounting software ensuring all office and accounting proceduresare followed and resolving client queries over the phone by emailor face toface.

Alongsidethe above if you have the following experience that would be useful(if not then you just need to be happy to betrained):

Preparationof draft Personal Tax computations andreturns.

Preparationof draft Corporation Tax computations andreturns.



Requirements

Tobe considered as the Accounts Assistant you willneed:

Agood understanding or Fixed Assets Depreciation PrepaymentsAccruals Deferred Income VAT andPAYE.

Be AATor Part ACCAQualified.

Tobe a good relationship builder and a team player with strongorganisational and time management skills who enjoys working withand supporting a diverse range of clients and businesssizes.

To be considered as the Accounts Assistant you will need: A goodunderstanding or Fixed Assets, Depreciation, Prepayments, Accruals,Deferred Income, VAT and PAYE. Be AAT or Part ACCA Qualified.
