An exciting development opportunity has arisen to lead within the Research and Innovation Team and Practice Education. We are looking for an exceptional Registered Nurse or Midwife with a proven track record of leadership, practice development and education to play a key role in the strategic development of research knowledge and skills for the multiprofessional workforce across UHSussex .

Main duties of the job

Play a key role in the strategic development of research knowledge and skills for the multiprofessional workforce. Lead the Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) programme for the Trust. Take responsibility for oversight and implementation of PNAs across UHSx. Lead Patient and Community Involvement and Engagement (PCIE) work for Research and Innovation including line management of staff working in this area. Proactively contribute to the communications output for Research and Innovation. Lead the Evidence Based Practice module and other training courses as required. Lead and promote the education programme and placements for undergraduate students within Research & Innovation (R&I). Work strategically with the R&I senior leadership to foster a culture of embedding research in clinical practice across all sites and across all professional groups.

First level registered nurse Post registration experience in Practice Development BSc Degree or equivalent previous experience Practice Teacher Qualification or Post Graduate Certificate in Education Master’s Degree level study or willingness to undertake
