FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

  • This role will coordinate extensively withinternal and external stakeholders to gather and documentrequirements analyze business needs and collect analyze anddocument the data to be ingested into the EDW.
  • Senior Business Analyst will support DBHDS project todesign and implement a new Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)and data exchange.
  • ShortDescription: DBHDS Sr Business Analyst is needed to work onEnterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Modernization projectwithin the Data Exchange Program. This projectwill replace the existing data warehouse with a new cloudarchitecture integrate with a variety of source systemsand implement a Master Person Identifier (MPI) to link individualsacross data sources. Connections to source systems will beconfigured and reports will be refactored.

Activities willinclude:

  • Creating datadictionaries with input from data stewards; meeting withstakeholders to document report requirements; working with thebusiness and IT to understand and document current businessprocesses and identifying opportunities to streamline processes andreporting.
  • This position will also overseequality assurance processes to ensure that the delivered solutionsmeet business requirements and adhere to data governance andsecurity standards.
  • This role requires anexperienced analyst who is skilled in listening understanding andcommunicating with business and technical stakeholders.Intermediate to advanced SQL querying skills and experience withdata analysis reporting and business intelligence is required.Excellent communication skills and the ability to take initiativeand ownership over their work is a must.
  • Technical skills: retrieve manipulateand combine data from multiple sources using SQL in order to deriveinsights
  • Analytical skillsanalyze complex systems and processes in order to evaluatealternatives and make recommendations
  • Communication skills translate technical information intolaymans terms and actively listen to understand stakeholder needs;create documentation
  • Interpersonal skillscollaborate with diverse teams and negotiate between differentstakeholders requirements
