We are looking for a enthusiastic Trust Doctor ST4+ in the Paediatric Department based at Whipps Cross Hospital. This is a 12-month fixed term contract, as part of the medical team the post holder will also be required to attend children in the paediatric A&E department, paediatric assessment unit, labour ward and postnatal wards as appropriate.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential criteria
MRPCH part 1 (or equivalent) MB CHB APLS NLS Sound general paediatric knowledge Competence in assessment and management of ill children in the acute setting Competent in resuscitation of paediatric patients
Desirable criteria
MRCPCH part 2 theory and clinical examinations Knowledge of organisation of NHS
Skills
Essential criteria
Good communication skills Clear, concise and well-presented application Interpersonal skills (ability to establish good working relationships with patients, carers and colleagues) Coo-operative team member and able to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team Demonstrate positive and approach to work, enthusiasm and common sense
Experience
Essential criteria
Minimum 2 years’ experience working at ST1/2 Level (or equivalent) including six months experience of working as ST1/2 in Level 2 Neonatal Unit Appreciation of role of audit in clinical practice
Desirable criteria
Work experience in Level 3 Neonatal Unit at ST1/2 Level Interest and participation in clinical audit and / or quality improvement Teaching Experience
