Job summary

Oxfordshire Sexual Health Services provide a comprehensive sexual health service, including HIV care, to people attending our outpatient clinics in different locations across Oxford. The health advisor assistant practitioner belong to a small, friendly team and work closely with other disciplines in the department.

Main duties of the job

Carry out partner notification, to ensure the attendance and treatment of Complete and carry out Partner notification audit for data reporting for KPI's Verification and Completion of Partner notification cases. Carrying provider referrals Recall patients allocated to HA recall lists this including but not exclusive: diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections for Follow ups and test of cure. Syphilis recall follow up bloods. Arranging 3/12 reminder for repeating testing following positive Sexually transmitted infections for under 25, and vulnerable patients Liaise with other health care professionals both within the department and Undertake projects and training as negotiated with the senior health Provide basic education to patients regarding Sexually transmitted infections including checking for compliance of treatment.

Applicants should be non-judgemental, enthusiastic and motivated individuals; they should have excellent communication skills and enjoy working independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

We are seeking an individual to join the health advisor team as an health advisor assistant practitioner. If you think that you can contribute towards the work and development of Oxfordshire Integrated Sexual Health Services we would love to hear from you.

Qualifications/Training

Essential

Good command of English language Understanding Recognized qualification in health care or previous health care experience C or above in GCSE or equivalent English and math's

A level or equivalent higher education

Previous health care experience

Previous sexual health experience Experience in partner notification. Experience in documenting and using Patient health record system.

Skills /Knowledge

Essential

Evidence of interest in specialty Competent IT skills including experience with using Microsoft office applications. Ability to adapt and cope with changing situations. Good verbal and written skills Work independently and on own initiative in a proactive way Work effectively under pressure, recognise and deal with stress appropriately in self and others. A keen and dedicated interest in Sexual Health.
