Role overview:
The Lead Application Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing electrical systems and components for various projects. The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong background in electrical engineering and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The role will involve collaboration with other engineers, as well as project managers, clients, and vendors.
Main Responsibilities:
Review and negotiate customer requirements. Support RFQ phase with cost calculations. Technical interface to customer for electronics. System Requirements management. Designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components that meet customer requirements and industry standards. Collaborating with other engineers and project managers to develop project plans and schedules. Performing system and component level testing and analysis to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements. Identifying and resolving technical issues during design, development, and testing phases. Developing and maintaining project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, reports and EOLT specs. Providing technical support to project teams, clients, and vendors to successfully launch the program. Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry standards and best practices. Participating in the evaluation of new technologies and tools for potential use in future projects. Leading hardware and software teams of engineers and technicians on assigned projects. Support purchasing with PCB manufacturing quotes and design for manufacture. Support cost saving opportunities and supplier changes.Key skills and Qualifications:
Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline - We may also consider other qualifications, which are supported by strong relevant experience in this field. Vector CANalyzer or CANoe and Rational DOORS Experience of using Automotive APQP and working to ASPICE Knowledge of Embedded software and quality assurance processes. Fluent in English-
