Autoscan provides Quality Inspection, Containment & Quality Engineering Services to the Automotive, Off Highway, and all types of manufacturing industries and their supply chain.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Technician for an exciting new opportunity based in the Crewe area of Cheshire.

The Quality Technician in this role will be responsible for investigating issues identified from warranty claims and customer in use quality issues, taking ownership of any issues identified, providing a rapid response to any quality issues, determining root cause and then initial liaison with component and part suppliers to discuss engineering changes and improvements.

Quality concern updates will be managed via our bespoke concern management system, the Quality Technician will also update customer specific systems to demonstrate concern status and progress.

Following on from the supplier discussions, the Quality Technician will be responsible for managing resolution of the quality issue, robust problem resolution actions and closure of the issue to 8D.

The successful Quality Technician will be comfortable in customer facing roles and will be able to represent the team in all quality forums, from initial investigation to senior management and engineering follow up meetings and feeding back to the supplier network.

Applicants should have previous experience in a similar Quality role, be computer literate, be experienced in the use of MRP type systems and be able to communicate at all levels.

In return, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a basic hourly rate of £19.54 per hour PAYE.

Based in the Crewe area, this role is commutable from Winsford, Nantwich, Northwich, Chester, Wrexham, Whitchurch, Congleton, Knutsford, Macclesfield and Stoke on Trent, amongst many other areas of Cheshire and Staffordshire regions.

We are specialist service providers to the vehicle manufacturing industry and their supply chains, and this is an excellent opportunity to join our team.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic DBS Criminal Record Check.

Requirements

Applicants should have previous experience in a similar Quality role, be computer literate, be experienced in the use of MRP type systems and be able to communicate at all levels.
