I am a man in my early forties who lives in Trebanog with my parents. I can be a little shy at first, but am very chatty once I get to know you.

I have Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, and as a result I use a wheelchair to get about. 

When I’m at home, I enjoy using websites such as Facebook. I also enjoy being out and about. I like going to my local pub, especially when there is Karaoke on.

I love music and enjoy going to concerts. I follow a few bands in particular, as well as attending the X-Factor tour at the CIA. I also like watching wrestling, and I’ve been to a few live events too.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

I am looking to employ a personal assistant to help and support me to go out into the community, helping to maintain my independence.

This will involve meeting me at home and travelling in your car out into the community.

This will include helping me to go to the Karaoke night at a local venue and occasional to concerts and live events.

RATES OF PAY

£13.50 per hour 

Plus Mileage Allowance (when applicable)

HOURS OF WORK

There are 10 hours per week available.

TASKS CAN INCLUDE

·Supporting me to get out and about

·Helping me to transfer in and out of the car

·Help to transfer in and out of my wheelchair

·Pushing manual wheelchair

·Assisting me when out and about and at venues

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

·Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle

·Would suit a male or female applicant

·Someone with a knowledge of the local area

·A person who is dependable and arrives on time

·Would suit an outgoing person with a sense of humour

·Positive approach to disabled people
