Due to continued growth, Leonardo has an exciting opportunity for a Risk Manager. Reporting to the Head of the PMO you will be a focal point and subject matter expert for Risk Management in the Cyber and Security solutions division, supporting the implementation of the Project Risk Management processes in accordance with Leonardo Risk Management policy and processes. 

The role will be a mixture of home based and onsite and require some travel across the UK.

Risk Managers work within the PMO independently supporting the Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to develop an effective Risk culture and implement value add, high quality risk management.

Champion the Risk Management Process and Culture as the Business Area Subject Matter Expert Provide training, support and awareness sessions to IPTs and Project Managers on Leonardo processes and tools Support the contingency setting and management process, including approving compliant release of contingencies Act as approver within our risk management system, signing off the quality of risk registers Manage and support the updating of risk data for Corporate Reporting Work with IPTs to ensure effective and commensurate management of risks is in place on all projects throughout their lifecycle Monitor risk management activities to ensure compliance and progress against project plans Facilitate Monthly Risk Reviews

You must be to demonstrate:

Experience of Risk Management on large, complex programmes Pro-active, dynamic individual with proven stakeholder management skills You are confident working in a team, with effective communication skills Willing and confident to challenge ideas to facilitate improvement Ability to challenge and present at Management level Skilled in negotiating and influencing techniques Ability to lead workshops and present technical details to large teams of people with confidence

It would be beneficial if you are:

numerate with experience of estimating (Cost & Schedule) and financial modelling skills
