Foundation Personnel is seeking a Slinger/Signaller for a project in Toton, Nottinghamshire. This role involves working alongside a crawler crane to ensure the safe and efficient slinging of materials as part of a critical infrastructure project. The project is managed by a well-respected civil engineering firm known for its expertise in tunnelling and complex construction operations across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely sling and direct loads being lifted by a crawler crane, ensuring proper balance and secure fastening of materials.
- Communicate effectively with the crane operator and ground crew to coordinate lifting operations, ensuring safety and precision.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to lifting and slinging operations, maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
- Regularly inspect slinging equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and complies with safety standards.
- Work closely with the crane operator and site team to support the smooth execution of the project.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Blue CPCS card for Slinger/Signaller.
- Proven experience in slinging operations, particularly alongside crawler cranes.
- Strong understanding of lifting and rigging safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience on large-scale construction or tunnelling projects is highly desirable.
