WHAT TO EXPECT
Join our team of next generation thinkers As a leader in Product Engineering within the Advanced Electric Drive Unit Group.
As a Product Owner Validation Lead, you shall be a key member of the design verification team responsible for project management and delivery of the mechanical and electrical development, performance & functional verification and durability. All playing its part within the sign-off for the electric drive unit verification plan.
Working in partnership with Lead engineers, you shall ensure all aspects of the design verification plan are delivered as required to a high standard.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Principally responsible for the project delivery of power unit functional, durability & attribute validation testing, ensuring that the team are aligned with the required Design Validation Plans and all test dependencies (enablers) are in place, on time to ensure the team are delivering the test.
Ensure tests are executed using correct hardware, to correct procedures & customer timing requirements.
Collate customer requirements (test procedures, timing) and cascade planned MBIs to ensure resources are used in the right priority and in the most efficient way.
The PO is responsible to ensure correct documentation is in place and technically correct to facilitate design verification plan delivery, this includes test procedures, standards, request for quotation.
Compile & facilitate technical review of RFQ and work instruction documentation to communicate DV Test requirements at a detailed level to test facilities both internal and external, ensure communication and buy-in from all stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Strong technical background with knowledge of power unit engineering components and systems.
Experience of component/system design and validation.
Understanding of design principles and the application of quality tools within a product engineering environment.
Ability to coach the team, inspire technical curiosity and depth of understanding to raise the overall proficiency of the team.
Experience and proficiency in data processing and control system software.
